It’s interesting, I’m waiting on the baby and at the same time, waiting on several screenings for the movie, and waiting to hear about new ones… It’s kind of strange, waiting days, they could potentially make a person crazy, and at times, I do feel crazed… But it’s good, Ameet and I have been distracting ourselves with house repairs and random Target/Home Depot runs and eating at various restaurants. This week, we installed blinds on all of the windows, hung up a bunch of art that’s been sitting around our house, and tried a great cafe called Green Peas in Culver City (so good). Yesterday, I went swimming at the Culver pool—amazing pool, so interesting to be like 9 mos prego and getting into the water… It actually felt really like and relaxing, though it is quite the undertaking to make it down there… On the film front, I’ve been reading some of the reviews that have come out from Cinequest, pitching the story of our movie to journalists, and working on some of our PR materials like the postcards, etc… It feels like I’ve completed almost everything I wanted to before the baby comes, but I’m sure there is something lingering… I bet everything is going to happen all at once in the next couple of weeks—screenings, baby, my parents’ arrival, etc, etc… Then I’ll wish I was back to waiting… But for now, still waiting.
